How is Share™ better than other platforms?

Instead of better, we prefer to call it “uniquely relevant”. For a start,

Booking confirmation is instant and 24×7. Unlike others, we won’t ask you to fill up pages upon pages of pre-consultation questionnaires and wait days (or weeks) before a therapist (or his/her assistant) reply with an appointment date. All bookings are confirmed by therapists over the Share™ app – direct, fast – whether you need them now, or in the next hour.
  2. Consultation is in-app and interactive. No installation of 3rd-party meeting apps like Zoom or Skype to start a consultation. Inside Share™ is a proprietary videotelephony communication module that not only allows you to meet face-to-face with the therapist online but at a high degree of interaction, made possible by its built-in annotation, screen sharing, chat, recordings tools and many more. You can never achieve the same experience with messaging apps like WhatsApp and Facetime too.

Is online therapy better or face-to-face?

While evidence presented by numerous studies have suggested that online therapy can be as effective as its face-to-face counterpart – especially with Share’s proprietary, in-app video consultation module further narrowing the gap – we acknowledge that every client is unique, and every issue is unique. Therefore, not all Share™ sessions could and should replace traditional, face-to-face ones. Our practitioners are also unable to provide official diagnosis and medical prescription online. Therefore, advice you receive from the session must be treated as guidance only. Do not make mental health or medical decision from the session.

How long does each session last?

A session could last between  45 minutes to 90. It really depends on individual therapist and the issues involved. Regardless of the duration, Share charges you only 1 flat, low price.

Who are your therapists?

All Share™ therapists have a  Masters degree in counselling and above. The practitioners have met all training and practicum requirements prescribed by the respective examination bodies before successfully attaining their qualifications and have years of experience dealing with the subject matters they specialise in.

Are the therapists hired by Share™?

Therapists on Share™ are independent practitioners. For every consultation they provide, we receive a small fraction of the fee, which goes into the programs, infrastructures and the associated supporting staff that make the Share™ services possible. This arrangement also allows practitioners to continue to hone their crafts and take good care of you, while we take care of the rest – making sure that the platform is efficient, reliable, and secured.

May I remain anonymous on Share™?

Privacy Mode is enabled prior to every session. This allows you to chat with our therapists with your device cameras switched off – until you are ready to turn them on.

Personal details are not required when you register an account on the Share™ app – only your mobile number, for authentication purposes. With the account, you will be able to explore the rich, self-help contents we have prepared, with the hope to improve our users’ quality of life. It’s free.

Ready to start a therapy session? That is when your personal particulars are needed. We ask that you provide as much information as possible at this point, for one or more of the reasons below:

  1. To satisfy the requirements set forth by various licensing bodies the therapists are affiliated to. All therapists are also covered by professional indemnity insurance and could only extend the coverage to you, where applicable, if sufficient information is received.
  2. In case of emergency, our therapists will be able to contact someone for help.
  3. For account and password recovery.

We treat all user information with the strictest confidence and abide by the personal data protection acts in your country to the best of our ability. Similarly, we do not trade the information with a third-party.

Can persons with disabilities (PWDs) use Share™?

Share™ was created with PWDs in mind. Mental challenges do not discriminate, and PWDs deserve the same care as everyone. With the built-in annotation, screen sharing and chat tools, to name a few, PWDs may now interact with any therapist with ease.

How much do you charge?

Share™ is not a monthly or yearly subscription. You do not pay for services you don’t receive. Each therapy session costs a flat, low fee of S$120 nett. For discounts, you may consider wallet payment or packaged plan.

How do I pay for my Share™ sessions?

You may pay for each session using a credit or debit card. We recommend purchasing a package plan or payment by wallet.

  1. Plan.
    All plans come with bulk discount, and an auto top-up feature that you may disable anytime. So, while you enjoy the sessions at lower prices, you enjoy a peace of mind at the same time too. Plans are also great as gift for someone you care about – a kin, a friend, or a co-worker. For corporate, providing employees with a concrete solution to mental health also promotes loyalty and productivity, above all. Simply, purchase the plan and share the plan code. It’s that easy. How do I access information exchanged during the therapy session?

To help you better recap the advice received during each session, we have saved information such as annotations, drawings, photos and documents exchanged during the session - including chat transcript, under “Session History”. You may access them any time after the session.

Is Share™ the right solution for me?

While the final goal of each and every one of our therapists is to help you achieve yours, there are situations we feel Share™ might not be helpful to you.

  1. Do not use Share™ for emergency medical needs.
  2. Do not use Share™ if you are considering suicide; harming yourself or others.
  3. Do not use Share™ if you or any other person may be in danger or experience any medical emergency.

Instead, call your local emergency service number immediately and notify the relevant authorities. Seek immediate in person assistance.

While every one of our therapists are certified, and specialises in the subject matter they practise, we recognise that a successful therapy sometimes depends on elements beyond these. Not only are you able to switch to a different therapist that could better deliver the outcome intended, but you may do so at any point in time.

How secured is Share™?

Share™ relies on cloud communications platforms hosted at Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres, which are highly scalable, secure, and reliable. AWS complies with leading security policies and frameworks, including SSAE 16, SOC framework, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS. It also supports TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 to encrypt network traffic. Combined, they ensure that the application, its related transmission and storage are as safe as they are dependable.

In essence, all records created during a session, including but not limited to text, audio, photo and video are protected, and accessible only by you and the therapist concerned. No staff member of Share™, even our CEO, has access to them. Further, these records can only be created with your explicit permission. You may also delete them, permanently, anytime.
